Hans van Rossum is organ maker and in my opinion one of the best craftsman I know. I have seen and especially heard music played on instruments he actually restored or built and that is amazing. He also works with the best musicians in the business.

This portrait has been cut out of a piece of wood he prepared himself. I wanted to capture the way he concentrates when working, always with that specific pair of glasses on his nose. The lines are big bold strokes, which give the expression and depict the Burgundy person he is.
